Anchoring - When you connect a large cluster of puzzle pieces to the edges.
Blanks - The part of the puzzle piece that's indented in. Fits directly into puzzle pieces called Tabs.
Gradient Puzzles - Puzzles that show a color shift from one side to another. They are typically in such small increments that it's hard to for the human eye to see immediately. Usually the difference show up once the pieces are grouped together.
Tabs - The part of the puzzle piece that sticks out. Fits directly into puzzle pieces called Blanks.
Difficulty Level 1-3: 2-500 Puzzle Pieces
Difficulty Level 4-6: 501-1999 Puzzle Pieces
Difficulty Level 7-8: 2000-2999 Puzzle Pieces
Difficulty Level 9-10: 3000-????? Puzzle Pieces
Edges Last - The challenge of assembling a puzzle doing the edges last. Edges can only be used if they are connected to a larger inner cluster of the puzzle.
Blindside - The challenge of assembling a puzzle without looking at the box or image of the puzzle during assembly. This takes a high level or memorization and puzzling experience.
